The baby stay on the 35-3 does a great job of flattening the main. I haven't needed it to stop any pumping downwind, so it gets loosened with the other settings at the top mark, so no issue with the pole. It stays sort of tensioned when cruising, so no pain at all. I only wish I could loosen it without having to kick it. A project for a winter one year.
