I have wasted a LOT more than just a weekend configuring Debian and I hate it.
But so far I'm turned off at Kubuntu. The Keyboard is NOT configured properly and so far I'm in for five (5) hours. Next the disk is NOT partitioned even remotely as it should be. So I will try a live re-partitioning maybe this evening. I do use apt - its great. I've got both the Kubuntu and Debian install disks here and I'll stay with Kubuntu for the time being. Currently I run Debian on my main 'puter but this may change to Kubuntu. We'll see how it goes. Next step is getting the keyvboard on the new machine running.
