Ouch... I hope that they are OK. Article say not critical but those
sound like serious injuries.

So a 'expected' problem (power outage) causes massive failure of system.
Isn't Shaw mandated to provide a usable '911' service, even with
problems?

I worked on a bid for VoIP service a few years ago and they wanted the
ATA to continue working for 2 hours without power - not much good if the
IP connection is dead.
