[clug-talk] Windows XP CD boot problems

Although I can boot using the GRUB disk (a tool no one should be 
without), I would like to run fixmbr one of these days, which can be 
done from a Recovery Console.  Running it from the CD (CD Boot) or from 
an installed copy of the Recovery Console hangs as it probes hardware, 
leaving me with nothing but a black screen.  Suggestions?
