There are many who agree with Richard Stallman that it is unethical to distribute software without the source code.
There are many who disagree with him, myself included. I think it is 100% ethical to sell proprietary software, sans source code. I only mention this in hopes that people interested in discussing the topic at length will find an appropriate forum to do so, which I hope the Clojure Google group is not.
