Hi, I use os x for my dev. I regularly switch between os x and linux for many years now. When my computer is too old to get a newer os x version, I switch to linux to have more usability years (I keep my computer 7-8 years). I avoid Windows the more I can because I don't like this os and I'm a fan of Unix world (pipe architecture, all is file, powerful shell). But I must say any os is good while I have: Java, emacs and a terminal window :P
