The intended audience are Software Engineers. Not the people who hide behind "this-is-not-intuitive" their lack of willing to learn the most effective way to spend their professional life.
Why is it that you believe them to be mutually exclusive events? You portray Software engineers as if they are Gods and the most brilliant minds on the planet. A lot are just average. And ofcourse, if Clojure does not try to make them feel at home, it is just going to be another Hobby language.
