Could you guys give SLIME another shot via M-x clojure-install? If you haven't been using it because you had a hard time installing SLIME/swank months ago, things have changed pretty markedly since then. I'd say that using SLIME now requires no more effort than using the built-in inf-lisp functionality; possibly less. If you try it and don't like it, that's fine; please let me know.
