But it survived a full regression test here (Linux/amd64).
Will go through the code again tomorrow and see if I can make it deadlock.

and it ran for DAYS, with millions of emails passing through it on
several systems without it failing.
I hate it when you can't easily reproduce something.. heck, even if you
think you fixed it, you never know.
Note: the FIRST one that failed was scanning a 22MB email. I was not
around when the second system failed, so I don't know.
also, clamdscan -V would not respond, clamdtop would not respond, and
on the system with TCPSOCKET, telnet to 3310 and PING did not respond.
(and of course, a sigkill failed, so the end user crashed the box when a
soft boot hung >.)
