Time to update your ports tree then.... Anyway: Installing clamav from source on FreeBSD is really easy (although it doesn't recognize zsh as a valid shell), if you just do a ./configure (without any options) it'll install clamd.conf in /usr/local/etc, along with freshclam.conf. Never had any problems whatsoever.
