Hi,

I have been using ClamAV with no problems for the last 3 years but have just returned from 1 weeks break to discover my hourly ClamAV updates seem to have stopped on Oct11 around 0800 GMT

The mail archives show there was as issue with the mirrors on this day but no one else seems to be having similar problems.

/usr/local/bin/clamscan --version
ClamAV 0.88.5/2023/Wed Oct 11 10:18:57 2006

from freshclam.conf

DNSDatabaseInfo current.cvd.clamav.net
DatabaseMirror db.au.clamav.net
DatabaseMirror database.clamav.net

I have tried pointing the DatabaseMirror to US,UK or JP and they all fail. Ping's are successful to the ip's returned for the various mirrors but http connections fail. Is there any chance my IP has been added to a deny list on the servers? Strangely I can get the latest file if I wget http://clamavdb.planetmirror.com/daily.cvd but db.au.clamav.net no longer lists this or any other Australian host only US sites

The server has always only been setup to update 1 every hour

# update clamav vscanner
50 * * * * /usr/local/scripts/kill_freshclam >/dev/null 2>&1
51 * * * * /usr/local/bin/freshclam --quiet >/dev/null 2>&1

regards

ash
