[EMAIL PROTECTED] clamav-devel]$ uname -a
Linux hostname 2.4.25 #2 Wed Mar 17 17:03:25 CST 2004 i686 i686 i386
GNU/Linux

I want to say this was originally a Redhat 8 machine, judging from the
following output:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] clamav-devel]# gcc -v
<yadda yadda yadda>
gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)

I inherited it when the old admin left.

Sorry about the horrible e-mail format, I hope people can decipher it.

I found a note in the archives that this problem had been resolved in a
snapshot in the CVS repository. So I'm trying to build that one right
now.

Would have responded quicker, but I had to update autoconf first.

Ok, make just finished, still getting errors, even with the latest CVS
snapshot.

dns.o: In function `txtquery':
/home/sysadmin/clamav-devel/freshclam/dns.c:53: undefined reference to
`__res_query'
/home/sysadmin/clamav-devel/freshclam/dns.c:60: undefined reference to

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make: *** [all] Error 2

Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. And again, I apologize
for the HTML formatting on the first e-mail.
