 I am not familiar with Redhat, as such, but I seem to vaguely remember
these types of errors been mentioned with RH version 7*. Some of the
others on the list will have more experience with RH systems, and may be
able to offer some insight as to possible causes.

 Which version of make are you using, BTW?
