Every time I upgrade clamav, I do a diff of my clamav.conf with the one in
the distribution, and use that to patch new options into my config file.
ie, from clamav-dist/etc
diff /usr/local/etc/clamav.conf ./clamav.conf >patch.txt
Take the output of diff, delete any sections that are just activateing or
changing options. What you are left with will be just the added or removed
options.
patch /usr/local/etc/clamav.conf <patch.txt
Will then add them to your conf file.
