Hi, wouldn't it be great to have some kind of virus description library like NAI's VIL at <http://vil.nai.com/vil/default.asp> for ClamAV? Are there any efforts to create one? May I help? Do you think we need one for ClamAV?
Background: Today I intercepted an Email (qmail-scanner 1.20/ClamAV 0.65) that contained "Trojan.Muss.A6". I cross-scanned the archive with McAfee's uvscan that did not found that trojan. Some with some other scanners. After some research I realized that this is a porn dialer (see <http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=description&virus_k=100807>) and not recognized by VirusScan by default. While researching I thought: "Why is there no Virus Description Library for ClamAV where I can look up the virus name and get some explaining words or -- even better? -- some links to VIL or others?" What do you think?
