I'm calling a clamd client on 40,000 mail a day (currently 20031020
snapshot). Some days it crashes but most days it doesn't. I suspect
theyre some mail do it to crash because I'm running two clamd in round
robin and they may crash in the same time. I'm trying to catch some
bogus mail, but clamd has not crashed enough for this until now.

For me, clamd stable release has crashed the first day I try it, so, I
directly goes for the devel version.

I also used Dr.Web on FreeBSD in the past. It's a commercial but cheap
antivirus. It is a bit slower but it has never crashed. I does not
have the source but the client side API is well documented and easy to
program.
