I got it running, but I'm not exactly sure why this is. Maybe someone can
shed some light. In the clamav.conf file, I uncommented the line
"LocalSocket /tmp/clamd". The first time I attempted  to start clamd after a
reboot, the log files looked like before - that is, you would think clamd
started without any problems. The second time I attempted to do this, I
received the following line in the log:

Q-mail clamd[2807]: Socket file /tmp/clamd already exists. Please remove it
or use another one.

I removed the /tmp/clamd file, and now it starts up.
