I got it running, but I'm not exactly sure why this is. Maybe someone can shed some light. In the clamav.conf file, I uncommented the line "LocalSocket /tmp/clamd". The first time I attempted to start clamd after a reboot, the log files looked like before - that is, you would think clamd started without any problems. The second time I attempted to do this, I received the following line in the log:
Q-mail clamd[2807]: Socket file /tmp/clamd already exists. Please remove it or use another one. I removed the /tmp/clamd file, and now it starts up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Allyn Baskerville" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, October 17, 2003 8:31 AM Subject: Re: [Clamav-users] clam no longer starts > The softlimit was set at 10000000, and I changed it to 20000000.
