No one is responding. I'm not sure why - am I asking the wrong question? Can
someone tell me if my Kino capture settings are OK? This seems so basic, yet
I've spent the better part of the day on this. I changed the Frames per file
setting back to the default 7000, and the Max file size back to the default
2000, but this made no difference.

When I first open Cinelerra, after checking the project settings, the files
play fine. They load without any error messages and play perfectly in the
viewer. I've gone through all the settings in preferences - I'm using the
X11-XV drive - I've just read through the section on that in the manual
again, and it talks about the X11-Open GL driver as the best. Presumably my
card should support that since it's an NVidia 6200 w/ 256 mb of ram, but
running the command to check that as suggested just returns me to a strange
forward arrow prompt with no feedback. The manual says the open GL driver has
to be configured into the binary - I don't know how to tell if that's
available in the Fedora RPM that's available from freshrpms - it's not
offered as an option in preferences - is that normal?

I could really use some suggestions

I also noticed a setting that allows you to set the Preload buffer for
quicktime - there doesn't appear to be any documentation on it - it's
currently set to 0 - could this be my issue?
