Sounds like we more need a "make offer" page.  Is there somewhere on
the net that already does this?

I generally don't like "make an offer", unless the seller has already stated an offer. If so,then I can decide whether what I want to pay is in a range that they would discuss it.

All too often, the seller wants far more than I would consider.
In flea markets (Foothill, etc.) I will sometimes say, "Would you be offended if I offered xx?"
Sometimes, they are.
But, sometimes they respond with "I wouldn't be offended, but I wouldn't accept that." That at least gives a starting point for potential negotiation.
