The first word processor I heard of was the "Redactron" that ran on the 7044 side of the 7094/7044 Direct Couple at the Caltech Jet Priopulsion Laboratory. I don't know whether it was used anywhere else. I don't know whether documents were ultimately stored on mag tape, or the 1405 RAMAC, or only on paper. > paul
