My cousin (David Ungar) did the Berkeley Smalltalk  (also under Paterson) https://www2.eecs.berkeley.edu/Pubs/TechRpts/1986/CSD-86-287.pdf During his work on that, I got a chance to briefly play with a pre-release Apple Lisa.

WOW!  Dave Ungar is a good friend of mine, I knew him from Washington University (where I still work.)
