Yes. They have for about a decade. Almost all SD cards these days could easily handle an I/O write rate that a PDP-11 is able to generate. It takes about 30 days for a PDP-11 to generate enough traffic to fill a large SD card, and most SD cards can easily handle 100-200 writes, which puts the time to wear out a card in the decade plus range for 100% write duty cycle.
