Lets start with the easy bits. A quick google turned up some zips of S9 software but not sure if its 6800 or 6809....
http://www.flexusergroup.com/flexusergroup/fug5.htm Now S1 records vsus using the monitor. If you are just typing yourself then getting a whole S1 record correct can be a problem. Using the Monitor memory modify lets you change a byte at a time and go back if you made a mistake. When you saved to papertape or Audio Cassette (there were a number of formats as well as Kanasas City) You generally got S1 records.
