Hi Bob
Since the real lab is 3560 and I have access to at least two of them too
in my physical lab, I'm probably going to mix things up.
I'm not overly concerned with the interface typing / numbering changes
but it is a good point to note.
The simple fact is, that by having my physical lab I can bang through
multiple labs that are 3 hours or < during a normal work week and not
eat up rack time of 8 hours from Proctor at 9pmto4am.

Keep in mind, too, that the real lab uses 3560s (since 3750s would add
no benefit as stacking is not tested in the CCIE RS lab), so while
3750s are functionally equivalent to 3560s, you also have the added
"module" identifier on each port (fa1/0/1 rather than fa0/1). A minor
point for feature exploration, but if you're working on building speed
and accuracy I actually think practicing on 3750s and then going to
lab on 3560s could trip you up. You may be mis-typing interface
identifiers all day!

Hello Peoples
Can anyone provide me some feedback on why 3550 and 3560 switches are those
that are used in the Proctor labs instead of older 3750 switches?
Is it because this is what the Cisco lab has?
Does anyone know what the downside would be to using 3750?
I realize that there is probably at least one command difference between the
3550 and the 3750, but is that anything less that would make people not use the
3750 switches?

Joe
