I am studying for the written and plan on reading all books. At this point in time I'm reading the Exam Cert Guide, and after each section reading the relevant part on the TCP/IP Books. when I hit the BGP and Multicast sections I'll read those. In addition, for light reading on teh train etc, I'm reading the internet arch book.
My thought process is that you get a number of different takes on the same subject and i'm finding that just reading the cert guide is not enough to get the message across. I missread or just dont appreciate the concepts well enough, by reading the other books your get a different angle on the topic which helps in your understanding. What this has made me realise is how unprepared i am for the CCIE, the devil is in the detail.
