Marko, 
           Yes, you are correct. I was responding on my phone so my response 
was not clear. RFC I should say is great for knowing how a technology works, 
and of course the DocCD is most of the time great for knowing how to implement 
it from Cisco's perspective on the IOS command line. 

Good points Marko, and I should have added that in.

I would be VERY careful with that approach when preparing for CCIE.

Don't get me wrong, I also read RFCs and some of them are BRILLIANTLY
written. However... what is in RFCs and how it works in IOS are
sometimes two different things.
