Yes I highly recommend it! I know a lot of people who make dual boots
with Linux just to run Dynamips/GNS3 because it runs so good. With
your system you can easily run 13 to 20 routers without getting above
10% maybe 20% CPU on 64-bit Linux. (remind to use the 64-bit binary of
Dynamips of course and not the 32 bit one :-)

If you are running GNS3 under Windows than it's pretty normal that
your CPU is at 100% all the time, even with the perfect idle PC
value. Dynamips just has poor performance under Windows as it needs
to be translated. Python is not able to run natively on Windows. If
you would use the same topology under 64 bit linux you would hardly
use 10%.
