I agree with Jerry. If there were a checklist on the BVARC website to qualify
for some type of honors (like there is for awards) then everyone would know
what they had to do to reach that honor upon entering the SK realm. However,
this would be a dumb idea as Jerry says we are a family. There are many that
have been an officer of the club and there are dozens upon dozens more that
have never held an office. There are some that have held an office year after
year after year. Then there are those that participate in nets, cert, ares, dx,
etc. We all have our little loves and hates and that's what makes us all
different yet the same.

I will remember Frosty for his mentoring of the students at his middle school
that could really care less about amateur radio. Even after they had a contact
with P5/4L4FN and they really had no idea how rare that contact was and that it
will probably be 50 or more years before it is ever done again from North
Korea.

That is the beauty of memories, as long as we can remember them, we can enjoy
them.

Ladies and Gents:
Just a thought. And how is it
fair to other families that have lost Amateur Radio members. Why should one get
noticed more than another. We are all equal in the HAM community. We all
contribute in our own ways. Just my thought.
