To be Critical, it should be a regression against the last two stable
versions.
CG says at least one stable version.
This breakage should have been flagged earlier, but I forgot to use \book
to ensure it shows up in the logfile checks.
The \paper block setting relied on the buggy behaviour of nested property
overriding: once this was fixed, the systems where no longer spaced close
enough.
