New issue 1061 by shingarov: Pure-height inaccuracy very large when skyline significantly non-rectangular
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1061 When the skylines are significantly non-rectangular, the inaccuracy of the pure-height estimation may become so large that the output becomes completely unusable. The attached example illustrates this point. True, this one is somewhat artificial, but in the production manuscript of my users, the problem of bar numbers' spatial relationship to the previous line's lyrics, leads to empty space and cutoffs larger than 1''. Especially troublesome are lyric descenders. For example, the estimator will always assume the lower part of letter "y" (or "p" or any with a long descender) will collide with bar numbers, while in fact it does not; and because this problem happens on every staff, it adds up, leading to very large estimation error.
