Yeah, that's why the project description mentions Hurdextras -- there are some translators there that really need some love... I couldn't come up with anything simple that is more closely related to this task; so the idea was just to do *some* translator hacking, as this will definitely be necessary for the package manager. Otherwise, I just remembered that there is another tool in need for some love: the Hurd "ls" has some rather obvious shortcomings. Probably should be added to some todo list... -antrik-
