If the features of Hurd are not used, then they are practically not there. Without the features there is no incentive for people to work on the system. It makes sense that if enough interesting software is developed for the Hurd then more people will want to make the Hurd itself more stable so that they can use the software with it. I have actually changed my mind by 90% now. I'll probably send in an application today (there still is time, is there?). Just not sure what change I should make for that patch you want... I have virtually no knowledge of the code in Hurd. I have cloned hurd.git and unionfs.git from Savannah because I felt they were relevant. Cannot find anything simple to change though (only complex stuff in BUGS/TODO). Another thing, is it really necessary to have a Google account to apply? I guess I could shut it down after the summer though. /Patrik
