Thanks! I will talk to the company to see what is what, especially since the one on my desk is a loaner... Of course, I am also thinking I will be in the market for a professional 80-cell, all bells, whistles, etc., so was hoping I could give this loaner a good workout for evaluation, too. Hm... Would you mind writing me off list about your impressions of the BC640? Alva isn't the only brand I'm drooling over, but I would really like to hear from someone who is using the new line... /smile/ Tami On 03/03/2012 02:28 PM, Bardia Zakeri wrote: > Hello > I had downgrade my to 2.6 from 2.8.1 and now I canuse brltty too > But my is a alva bc640 and my tekniker has do this for me downgradeto 2.6 > from 2.8 > And dont test. > To downgrade self I had test to upgrade and downgrade and the display was > corrupt so I had to send to my tekniker to install it again > So I recommend that you doit whit tekniker not self > -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- > Från: brltty-boun...@mielke.cc [mailto:brltty-boun...@mielke.cc] För Jason > White > Skickat: den 3 mars 2012 02:42 > Till: brltty@mielke.cc > Ämne: Re: [BRLTTY] Getting Alva BC680 to work... > > Tami Kinney<tamara.8...@comcast.net> wrote: > >> If anyone else is using the BC680 with BRLTTY and Orca who would >> like to give me an idiot level tutorial so I can get the machine up >> and running while I have it here, I would appreciate. > > Some people on this list have managed to get the Alva BC640 working, but > difficulties were encountered with the firmware as Dave indicated.
