1. Your claims to know French history would be more convincing if you displayed _knowledge of_ French history and 2. Apparently not. I guess it was too much to ask. I had dinner with George Rutler a few days ago, and he mentioned to me the Biblical verse on seeing a mote in your neighbors eye but not the beam in your own.
