I keep trying to bring it all back to the music...my point being simply, there is a long, long history of addressing social concerns, current events & so-called "hot-button topics: in traditional, folk, mountain & popular musics. I'm much less interested in the substance of the message than I am with their right to say what they feel without being unjustly demonized for doing so.

I am teasing I promise. I am not afraid to discuss or debate any topic so long as it is done in a civilized manner. But again, with all due respect, I promise I was just teasing, and if what I said was offensive, I offer sincere apologies. If we had been sitting face to face, you would have been able to tell that I was only playing. A lot of times that is a problem with the printed word.
I respect your opinions, the forum, and all who choose to participate, regardless of whether I agree with them, or they agree with me. I welcome everyone to sit down on the porch with me with a cup of Real Coffee, and enjoy our conversation no matter where it may lead us.:):):):):)
Thank you for your patience with my newcomer intrusions,
