Big Dan, Yes, I think Keith played "Memories of Mother" out of a D position. It sounds good like that! I almost got to play that break on Ralph II and John Rigsby's first album "Clinch Mountain Echoes", but they decided to use the mandolin instead.   By the way, you play very nice guitar yourself!   James
