Thank you for your interesting input.
I'm afraid that I'm going about this whole thing, back door first. There's a
USB cable, that doesn't come with the recorder, but is recommended. I think
I should think getting hold of that first, and seeing what their prescribed
route is.

Hi Cliff,
When you plug in the recorder, it should pop up in your My computer window
as another drive.
You do not need the software in order to transfer stuff to and from the
recorder, as they are independent for the most part.
