Visitors:
On this beautiful fall day visitors were many. In total we had about 25
visitors to the tower, some for only a short time, and some for hours. A
group of 4 Graduate Students from the Univ of Windsor joined us for several
hours.

Weather:
A beautiful fall day, mostly sunny skies with temps starting the day at
10.7 C and rising to 12.5 C. Winds were constant today out of the S, with
one hour SW. Our partial cloud cover of the morning diminished to zero by
mid day.

Raptor Observations:
We had 12 species of raptor today, with our first Golden Eagle of the
season on the far North edge of the marsh. Another big Turkey Vulture day
with over 3300, along with numerous Norther Harriers, American Kestrel, and
of course Sharp-shinned Hawks

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jays were moving in large numbers throughout the morning with a total
of 18,660 counted. Huge murmurations of European Starlings moving back and
forth along the North edge of the marsh. American Goldfinch were still
moving in strong numbers. A wide assortment of ducks were also tallied in
the marsh. 25 Monarchs were noted.
