Observation start time: 10:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 5 hours

Official Counter: Chris Burris

Observers:

Visitors:
Thanks to Chris B for sticking it out and actually doing a count today in
some pretty miserable weather.

Weather:
The temperature was steady at about 12C. Winds were generally straight W
20-30 km/h, with the occasional stronger gust. Cloud cover was 100% until
the final hour. There were some brief showers early on, and some brief blue
patches later in the day.

Raptor Observations:
As can be seen from the count, the raptors never really got going despite a
bit of clearing in the afternoon – just a bit over one hundred birds,
mostly Turkey Vultures.

Non-raptor Observations:
Non-raptors included: Song Sparrow, White-throated Sparrow, Blue Jay,
American Goldfinch, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, American
Crow, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Ruby-crowned
Kinglet, Gray Catbird, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, European
Starling, Northern Cardinal, Winter Wren, and Bonaparte’s Gull.

Predictions:
Some W and SW winds MIGHT bring more falcons along the cliff edge tomorrow.
Watch for Wednesday with WNW or possibly NW winds predicted could be a
good flight.
