Observation end time: 16:30:00
Total observation time: 8.5 hours

Official Counter: Sean Jenniskens

Observers: Dave Martin, Jim McCoy, Linda Wladarski, Michael Williamson,
                  Natasha Barlow

Visitors:
Some of the usual helpers on the tower today!

Weather:
First two hours of counting had crazy strong North winds! I recorded gusts
of 38km/hr, and an average of 33.5km/hr at one point! We went through both
extremes of cloud cover, with solid cloud skies in the morning, and
cloudless skies in the afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
A fairly good day for migration, though most happened in the morning. A
good movement of Red-tailed Hawks (higher than Turkey Vultures for the
first time in awhile). 3 Golden Eagles, 2 light Rough-legged Hawks, and a
early morning Northern Goshawk were the days highlights.

Non-raptor Observations:
A very late Wilson's Warbler was in the shrubs West of the tower when I
first got there in the morning, appeared to likely be a hatch-year female.
We heard our first Tundra Swans of the season in the mid-late afternoon,
though they were never seen. For the full eBird checklist, go to
http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32449558

Predictions:
Fairly strong SW winds are predicted for tomorrow.
