Not a lot of birders in the Park this morning so fewer reports have come in
from the field.
However with the southern winds last night it appears that more migrants have
arrived but not in great numbers. Over 20 species of warbler have been reported
thus far.
The Tip was slow this morning according to a number of birders but a good
variety of birds are to be found inland and birding is fairly steady throughout
the Park.
Some of the lingering birds such as the co-operative WORM-EATING WARBLER and
MOURNING WARBLER in Tilden Woods may have moved out as neither have been
reported yet but others may have taken their place including a female
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER and other species of warbler.
A CANADA WARBLER was found on Shuster Trail near the entrance to Tilden Woods.
A few more flycatchers have arrived and include GREAT-CRESTED and EASTERN
KINGBIRD so we might expect other species of flycatchers to be reported. A good
number of thrushes have also been reported.
The PROTHONOTARY WARBLER on Woodland Trail near bridge B was still there this
morning. A HOODED WARBLER was reported south of bridge C towards bridge D on
the Woodland Trail and another along Redbud Trail.
We will post again if something noteworthy shows up.
