It appears that my Ontbirds post at 9:30 this morning did not go out. At 9:30 this morning I found a Ruff, full breeding plumage on the mud flats at the Hillman shorebird cell north east of Point Pelee. Was present only 8 minutes. Was initially about 120 meters away on mud flats for about 7 minutes then flew to the south edge of the cell briefly then flew south out of sight. Also seen by a British group of birders and Geof Burbidge. Have arranged for a picture and video taken by a Brit to be sent to me tomorrow night.
