Hi to all from the BCW
Well the two Osprey offspring are flying daily, its a terrific site mom and
dad with kids in tow flying around
the neighbourhood .
September 8, 2012 from 1 pm to 5 pm there will be a free access to the
wetland, the Pickering Naturalist have
booked for the afternoon so I have decided to open for all, the growth in
the wetland has been very substantial
in the past two seasons so it is getting harder to view but I am pleased to
say the birds are still here.
Direction:The Constructed Wetland is located at the SE corner of Brighton,
Ontario. From Hwy 401,
take the Brighton exit 509 (Hwy. 30) and follow it South into town. Go south
through the two traffic lights,
over the railway Tracks and follow the main road, now called Prince Edward
Street, south. About
1 km south of the tracks, the main road begins to swing to the left and
becomes Cty. Rd. 64.As this long turn
ends the Constructed Wetlands Appear on the right side. The Wetland viewing
station is on the bend
with parking available.
