Folks:
Sorry for the late post.
Yesterday, Nancy Smith and I birded Rockpoint PP and area with great
results.

Outside the park in the sod farms, great numbers of BB Plovers and Kildeer
but no sign of Buff Breasted.

On the shore within the park, was a very cooperative juvenile Rednecked
Phalarope and a Buff Breasted sandpiper. The BB sandpiper was so close to us
and continued to approach that we were not able to use our scopes. Nice
opportunity for this type of shorebird.

Within the park itself we managed to acquire 12 species of warblers
including Canada, Parula, Blackpoll, Chestnutsided, Redstart, Orange
Crowned, Pine, Blackburnian, Magnolia, Yellowrumped, Nashville and
Tennessee.

We had good numbers of 4 species of vireo and finished off with an Olive
Sided Flycatcher.

After seeing Cheryl's posting we then dashed off to Lakeland to finish our
day with nice, fairly close looks at a group of 8 Sabine's gulls flying in
towards shore.

Wonderful day in the field with wonderful company.
