Hi Ontbirds, On Monday April 2 ( 11:10 – 11:30 AM) I heard singing Red-eyed vireo for about 4 minutes. The bird was at the top on tall spruce, not visible.
I am late with my message 7 days. The reason is, that for the last over 10 years, Red-eyed vireo visited this park about month later. The voice of this species is so distinctive, the only similar is Philadelphia vireo witch is much less probable at that time. Directions: South-East corner of intersection Jane St. and Eglinton Ave. Good birding! Jacek Pawlikowski PS April 7 I was at Colonel Samuel Smith Park ( South end of Kipling Ave.): noted 22 species. Northern harrier (1), 6 Horned grebe ( East, like 2 weeks ago). _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
