No big surprise, but a Louisiana Waterthrush was working the big slough on
Rondeau's Tulip Tree Trail this morning. The only other warblers were a few
scattered Yellow-rumped.
Very few migrant birds due to the recent weather!
One Blue-headed Vireo on South Point Trail (seen by Jim Burk).
Juncos were the most plentiful today! There was one female "Oregon" on
Lakeshore Rd. between Rondeau Ave and Bennett Ave.
**On another note, I came across a couple of banded Black-capped Chickadees
at Point Pelee on Friday. One had two bright orange colour bands on the
right leg. If anyone has an idea where these could have been banded, please
let me know! These birds were in a flock of 7-8 migrant Chickadees.
Rondeau Provincial Park is found by exiting 401 at #101 (Kent Bridge Rd.)
and travelling south to Rose Beach Line. Turn right and head towards the
park. Watch for prominent highway signs.
Good birding,
