Jim Pawlicki just called and asked me to put this message on Ontbirds. He is looking at a gull in the Niagara River that just flew in (1:11 pm) to the rock pile between Adam Beck and the Butterfly Conservatory. He has identified this individual as Common Gull, L. canus canus, not the North American Brachyrhynchus that has been seen at this same location over the past week or so.
He is viewing the bird from the U.S side of the river.
