Hi. A 2-hour cruise today through the Holland Marsh produced, among others, a single very speckled Snowy Owl in the field northwest of the intersection of Woodchoppers and Jane, and a beautiful pair of White-Crowned Sparrows foraging with some American Tree Sparrows in tall weeds along the dead-end running west from the intersection of Day and Devald. I mention the White-Crowns because I note they were missed in both the Toronto and Hamilton CBCs.
Good birding, Skip Directions: From Toronto, head north on the 400 to Hwy 9 (Davis), and then east on #9. Jane is the first turn-off to the north. Alternatively, if you stay on the 400 to Canal (one north of #9) and head east on Canal, Day is the first turn-off to the south. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
