Weather: The weather today was East-North-East at around 10-20MPH. It was clear visibility with 75-90% cloud cover. Raptor Observations: Today was about like yesterday. 125 Broad-winged Hawks and 88 Turkey Vultures made up most of the flight. Most birds were very high up. Non-raptor Observations: I started at Lake Erie Metropark today, with winds around 5-10MPH and from the North-East. Moved to Mouillee SGA for about an hour. Nothing going on there so moved back to the Metropark. Then things started to pick up there, it was slow at times but also active other times. Predictions: Saturday looks like to have rain maybe all day if not chances on and off all day. Sunday looks like South-West winds, but chances of rain maybe Monday so things could move on Sunday. Tuesday or some time early this next week highs should be in the low to mid 60's only so some kind of cold front is going to move in or over, sot that should get the birds on the move again. Kind of start the early Fall push. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Greg Norwood ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
