Just before noon today Ken and Jim Burrell and I found a first winter Laughing
Gull on the beach at Turkey Point. We initially found it by itself on the
beach near Reserve St., but it was soon flushed by a dog and flew south to the
edge of the Provincial Park (by the marina), shortly after it flew back to the
north.

Long Point was pretty quiet, but we did have a Red-throated Loon near Old Cut.

Directions:

>From Simcoe take Hwy 24 south to Turkey Point Road. Turkey Point road ends at
>Turkey Point provincial park, and you can go either direction to look along
>the beach.
